Calculate Overall Equipment Effectiveness for one shift from seven numbers you already track. No download, no email — the math runs in your browser.
OEE multiplies three losses into one number. Want the full walkthrough? Read how to calculate OEE with a worked example.
With the defaults above: planned time 430 min, run time 383 min → Availability 89.1%, Performance 100%, Quality 95.6% — OEE 85.1%, right at the 85% "world class" benchmark for discrete manufacturing.
85% is the usual world-class benchmark; 60% is typical; below 45% means the line is losing more than half its capacity. The number matters less than the trend and knowing which of the three factors is eating you.
The full workbook adds a 200-row daily log, automatic downtime Pareto by reason, and an OEE trend chart against the 85% line — the evidence pack for the morning meeting.
